Which will come first, Fallout 5 or an actual nuclear apocalypse?
From the article:
Next year Fallout 4 will turn 10 years old. By the time Fallout 5 releases, at this rate, Fallout 4 will be closer to two decades old. That is an insane gap for such a popular series, made worse by the fact it is not going to capitalize on the popularity of Amazon’s new Fallout TV show, which will no doubt be gone or on its way out by then.
The timing of the TV show does seem odd. You’d think they would have it somewhat lined up with a new Fallout release, but Fallout 5 is so far out they may as well exist in separate dimensions. I think it did bring a little bit of attention to Fallout 4, but there’s only so much milk you can squeeze out of that old cow. Even the latest Fallout game, 76, is already six years old at this point.
In any case, I was really excited for Starfield before that released, but was extremely disappointed (and I’m not overly critical like many gamers are). The only silver lining is the wait for Elder Scrolls 6 (and Fallout 5) will be a lot easier since I don’t have high hopes for either at this point.
